SCRIPTS FOR YOUTH
PLAY: "WISE YOUTH!"
1. A GOOD PARENT, approximately 4-5 minutes; for 1 or 2 youth and 1 adult portraying a busy parent whose goals include more material possessions and position. Parent speaks to 1 or 2 children. Parent is too busy for his child, because work means money; child asks Dad to help with Bible verses. As Dad read Scriptures, and experiences some health concerns, his vision is cleared to see the importance of spending time with his children.
Powerful drama shows the world's false values and importance of developing eternal values in our lives as parents, which has a rippling effect on children. Children don't do what we say; they do what we do.
2. WORDS OF VALUE, approximately 3 minutes long. For a 2-3 children. Children discuss 1. good teaching their parents give them by how they live; good ethics of provision for family. 2. Parents teach children to attend church and learn Bible verses, so they are not deceived by the world. 3. Jesus forgives sins and saves a soul, then a person can understand God's Word, a lamp for their path. 4. Kids who sin and cheat on a test, steal or take drugs are sinning. Each person must choose how to live. Jesus brings light to make right decisions. 5. Children thank parents for teaching them about God, taking them to church, and setting the example of serving God and being a "Light to the world."
3. KNOTS approximately 4 minutes; for 2 youth. Sam, enters, trips and falls. He can't tie his sneakers. Jerry, appears and offers help, explaining he's had experience untying knots. Sam, frustrated, asks, "Why did this happen to me?" Jerry explains about commitment and return--what you put in is what you get out. Go to God for help. He asks, "Is God trying to get your attention? They discuss perfection and untangling problems, seeking God's guidance. Older youth gives key to life.
4. APOSTLE TO THE FAITHFUL approximately 3 minutes; for 2 youth. Young person meets a summer youth missionary and discovers how God calls people to serve Him and how to follow God's will for his life.

PLAY: "GREENWOOD" A group of people on a Mission Trip travels to visit 3 historical locations in Israel. This Gospel presentation tells the story of one young man who came to recognize the true meaning of Easter. At the Garden Tomb, he discovers that Christ is God. This is an exciting drama which teaches salvation and serving God. Humorous parts. Good Bible history lesson. Easy fun script with simple sets. For 8 youth and 3 adults (or 10 youth and 1 adult).
